Online CE Courses
The OAL is pleased to make available online the following courses, which were originally presented on February 8, 2025 at the OAL Mid Winter Meeting. The courses are now available to both members and non members for 2h of non TPA CE Credit for 2025. The courses are listed under "Mid-Winter CE Meeting 2025: Module 1" and include the following 1h courses:
Ocular Considerations in Anticancer Agents - Brittany Wright, OD, MS, FAAO 1 hr The landscape of anticancer therapy continues to evolve, expanding the treatment options for individuals navigating a cancer diagnosis. While effective against cancer cells and tumor growth cessation, adverse events occur often impacting other organ systems, including the eye. Optometrists’ participation on the care team of these patients is valuable for early detection and management of ophthalmic involvement.
Our Favorite Cases: OAL Board Edition - Amy Puerto, OD, FAAO, Moderator 1 hr Whether it was a rare disease, a unique twist on a common condition, a lifesaving diagnosis, a challenging presentation, or a recommendation that greatly enhanced a patient’s quality of life, we all have our favorite cases that mean a little something extra…Louisiana lagniappe! Join us for this quick-hitting panel discussion as we review takeaways from some of the patient encounters that mean the most to your OAL board members (yes, they see patients in addition to all of their volunteer service, too!).
NOTE: THIS IS OFFERED AS A 2H CE PROGRAM ONLY, SO BOTH OF THE 1H COURSES ARE INCLUDED IN THE PRICE AND BOTH MUST BE COMPLETED IN ORDER TO RECEIVE CREDIT. EACH COURSE HAS A 10 QUESTION QUIZ AT THE END AND YOU MUST GET 70% CORRECT IN ORDER TO PASS. YOU DO NOT HAVE TO COMPLETE THE PROGRAMS IN ONE SITTING.
